Security Engineer
Full-Time | Travel
Required
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time role involving projects across the UK and occasionally mainland Europe, so a willingness and ability to travel and stay away from home is essential.
You’ll be working with high-profile commercial clients who expect a high-standard of finish to their installations. The successful candidate will play a key role not only in delivering high-quality installations but also in mentoring junior engineers and supporting the Project Manager in delivering complex projects on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out high-standard installation of security systems on commercial sites.
Mentor and support trainees and less experienced engineers, promoting best practices.
Assist the Project Manager with on-site supervision and coordination of works.
Conduct system fault-finding, troubleshooting, and reactive maintenance where required.
Provide technical support and ensure compliance with relevant site and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Security Engineer, ideally in commercial environments.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
Comfortable mentoring and coaching others.
Organised, reliable, and flexible in your approach to work.
Full UK driving licence.
Willing and able to travel and stay away from home when required (UK & occasionally Europe).
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience installing metal containment systems.
Familiarity with platforms such as Galaxy, Lenel, Milestone, Gallagher, or similar.
Industry-recognised certifications (e.g. ECS/CSCS, or relevant manufacturer training).
What We Offer
Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
Paid door-to-door travel
Opportunities for professional development and manufacturer training
Travel and accommodation expenses covered when working away
A supportive and friendly team environment
Involvement in high-profile, technically interesting projects
If you're a skilled Security Engineer who takes pride in your work and is ready to step into a role with real responsibility and variety, we'd love to hear from you.
